Tracking Stem Cell Research for Over 15 Years
Stem Cell Tracker is dedicated to providing comprehensive and accessible stem cell science information. Our mission is to empower both patients and professionals through integrity in reporting and a commitment to education. We value collaboration with researchers and providing support for patients and families.
Launched in 2009, Stem Cell Tracker has been independently reporting on the stem cell industry to thousands of followers and subscribers for over a decade. First started as a popular blog to report on stem cell stocks, Stem Cell Tracker has evolved to become a reliable resource for stem cell news, locations, events, and more. Join us on this historical journey of exploring stem cell research breakthroughs.
Our Mission
Stem cell science moves fast, and the headlines often move faster than the evidence. Our mission is to explain stem cell news in plain language, so patients, families, students, and professionals can tell real progress from hype. We want you to finish every article knowing what was found, how far along the research really is, and what it could mean for people.
What We Cover
- Weekday news. Each weekday we cover a significant new development, such as a peer-reviewed study, a clinical trial result, or a regulatory decision.
- Explainers. Plain-language guides to the basics, starting with What Are Stem Cells? A Simple Guide.
- Patient resources. Practical tools like our stem cell clinic red-flags checklist, to help you spot unproven treatments.
- Monthly recaps. A roundup of the month’s most important stories in one place.
How We Report
Every news article links its original source and the underlying study whenever one exists. We always say what stage the research has reached: a lab dish, an animal study, a human trial, or an approved therapy. Each story includes a “What This Means for Patients” section and our own analysis drawn from primary sources such as the published study and ClinicalTrials.gov records. We use AI tools to help with research and drafting, and our editor reviews articles for accuracy, sourcing, and tone. You can read the full details, including how we handle corrections, in our Editorial Policy.
Who’s Behind Stem Cell Tracker
Ty Lancaster is the founder and editor of Stem Cell Tracker and its sister site, StemCellHistory.com, and runs the @StemCellHistory YouTube channel. He started the site to make stem cell research easy to follow, so readers can tell real progress from overhyped claims. Ty reviews every story on the site and welcomes corrections at contact@stemcelltracker.com.
Our Independence
Stem Cell Tracker is independently owned and edited. We don’t sell treatments, we don’t endorse clinics, and we don’t accept payment or gifts in exchange for coverage. Our only goal is to give you an honest picture of the science.
Not Medical Advice
Everything on Stem Cell Tracker is for education only and is not medical advice. If you’re considering a stem cell treatment, talk with your doctor first, and check our clinic red-flags checklist before you commit to anything.
